Day Entertainment & Events truly believes no element has more impact on the success of a special event than entertainment. That belief is what led our founders, Bob and Wanda Sharkey, to create our entertainment-based company (then Universal Entertainment) back in 1977.
Today, we are a company of fun-loving, creative people who are passionate about great entertainment and spectacular events, dedicated to making sure we’re the perfect team for your special affair! We plan, design, and coordinate every detail from the subtle to the outrageous, leaving nothing to chance—service and quality are our prime goals. Whether you simply need a solo entertainer or looking for help with a Theme Park Buyout and anything in between has been our expertise for over 20 years and counting.
On a fun note, Mike and Trina first met face to face at a NACE International meeting in the fall of 1992. They were married in the fall of 1994 and attended their first ICPA (FICP today) meeting in November 1995 in Hawaii on their first wedding anniversary. They have been actively involved in those industry associations, along with MPI and ISES, ever since.
TRINA DAY
Trina Day has been providing distinctive entertainment services throughout the Central Florida area and abroad for over 25 years. From her early career as a professional singer traveling the country, Trina understands the perspectives of both the clients she serves and the entertainers she provides. Trina has built an industry reputation of not only providing the best entertainment possible for a specific client needs, but also keeping the entertainers’ best interests at heart. This ensures all expectations are met, which has been the cornerstone to the repeat client base she has built for over a quarter century, following in the entertainment footsteps of her parents before her, Bob and Wanda Sharkey of Universal Entertainment. Her passion for excellence and diverse experience has positioned her work and her company at the forefront of today’s industry.

MICHAEL DAY
Michael Day is a true Florida native who joined the meetings and special events industry in the 1990s, working in destination management. He quickly excelled in helping corporate clients design on-site themed events at their hotels, in addition to their off-site events at area attractions, venues, and restaurants.
CONTACT MIKE
During that time, Mike personally produced and operated over 500 events and worked on numerous meetings to include general sessions. While his responsibilities continued to grow into the 2000s, he hired, trained, managed, and mentored dozens of employees and team members on those services while working his way up to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In that capacity, he managed a department of 15 full-time employees and was involved with thousands of events and meetings ranging in size from 50 to 50,000 attendees. His tenure led to long-term partnerships with organizations like Universal Studios Florida, Sea World Adventure Parks, as well as Walt Disney World. After he began to miss working directly with his own clients, Michael more recently returned to a customer-facing role when he became a partner with his wife’s company, and has since then expanded their services to include full special event planning.
